Selling Your Home Means ALWAYS Having It Ready To Show!

Selling your home means always having it ready to show! This is so important and something that cannot be stressed enough to sellers! You never know when the phone is going to ring and a potential buyer wants to see your listing.

What do you need to do? Well, assuming that you have followed your Realtors instructions on getting the home ready for market before it was ever listed, there are certain things that you need to get into the habit of doing on a daily basis.

If you have pets, those pets need to be crated when you leave since potential buyers and their agents do NOT want to have to chase your dog or cat down the street because it got out accidentally. In addition to that, many people do not want pets jumping on them.

Remember that your kitty litter box needs to be changed daily! Nothing is a bigger turn-off than cat litter box smells!

The kitchen needs to be spotless! No dirty dishes in the sink or over-flowing trash can. Before you leave, give the kitchen a second glance. 

The bathroom also needs to be clean! Is there toothpaste on the side of the sink? Is the toilet seat up? Correct these things before you go out! Again, empty that trash can!

Keeping books, magazines, newspapers, clothing, etc where they belong is something you also need to do on a daily basis. Nobody wants to walk through a messy home. 

Do not attempt to cover up odors with plug-ins. They only make it obvious that something is wrong! I have actually seen clients leave a home because the plug-in odor was overwhelming!

Your entrance needs to be tidy. If you live in an area with snow, clean a path before you leave. If you live down South, life is easier. A pretty plant near the door is always inviting.

These are little things that are going to make your home more presentable and will also assist in getting your home SOLD for the best possible price. Isn't that your goal anyway?
