This information was provided by the Economics Department of the National Association of Home Builders and it shows the NATIONAL Median Prices throughout 2011 and also includes January 2012 for new construction of single family homes.
While this information does indeed indicate that prices are still extremely low, we need to remember two things:
1- This information is the median price NATIONALLY and every area of the country is different. You need to check your LOCAL market to see exactly what is going on in your specific market. The best way to get that information is to contact a Realtor!
2- Inventory is decreasing rapidly across our nation and we all learned about supply and demand. As the inventory decreases, prices are going to begin increasing............do NOW is the time to buy!
