Dunedin Florida is holding an 'Art to the Rescue' for the local doggie rescue program. An exhibit of local doggie art will be on display at the Stirling Art Studios and Gallery, located at 730 Broadway in beautiful downtown Dunedin Florida and will continue through the end of May.
This is just one more example of what is going on in the active little community of Dunedin Florida. Be sure to come out and see the Doggie Art Exhibit at the Stirling Art Studios! The studio features 12 local artists each month. The new exhibits start on the same day as the monthly Art & Wine Walks, so be sure to participate in this fun monthly event that is always on the second Friday of the month. Each featured artist also has a website that you can access while you are in the main gallery at Stirling Art Studios.
The Stirling Art Studio and Gallery is a collective project that started in 1997 when a group of local artists set up a group of working studios in downtown Dunedin. Through the years, the location of the studio and membership has changed. There are now nine working studios, as well as classrooms for the Dunedin Fine Art Center and Creative Clay's Transition Program. There is also exhibit space that is available for rent to local artists and local art groups. This is indeed something that very few communities have to offer and shows the deep artistic roots of the Dunedin community.
